Last week, we were invited to speak at a hybrid conference organised by the CNRTEC, Centre du Nickel, on natural hydrogen.
The main objective of the meeting was to provide an overview of New Caledonia’s hydrogen potential based on global advancements, and to explore the potential of this ‘new energy source’, which is neutral in terms of carbon emissions, for the nickel industry.
Samuel Barbier gave a presentation on our startup, RockyH2, including our services and our main research and development projects. Eric C. Gaucher also contributed by sharing his expertise in conducting fieldwork in New Caledonia.
We were also pleased to attend presentations by Nicolas Gonthier and Christophe Hecker on earth2 and POLE AVENIA. But also to Vincent Roche, from Le Mans Université, on how AI can help identify H₂ hotspots. We also attended a presentation on the Australian natural hydrogen industry by Ema Frery of the CSIRO.

La semaine dernière, nous avons été invités à intervenir lors d’une conférence hybride organisée par le CNRTEC, Centre du Nickel, sur l’hydrogène naturel.
L’objectif principal de cette rencontre était de donner un aperçu du potentiel hydrogène de la Nouvelle-Calédonie à partir des avancées mondiales, et d’explorer le potentiel de cette « nouvelle énergie », neutre en termes d’émissions de carbone, pour l’industrie du nickel.
Samuel Barbier a fait une présentation sur notre start-up, RockyH2, notamment sur nos services et nos principaux projets de recherche et développement. Eric C. Gaucher a également partagé son expertise en discutant notamment de ses obervations sur le terrain.
Nous avons également eu le plaisir d’assister aux présentations de Nicolas Gonthier et Christophe Hecker sur earth2 et le POLE AVENIA. Mais aussi à celle de Vincent Roche, de l’Le Mans Université, sur la manière dont l’IA peut aider à identifier les points chauds H₂. Nous avons également assisté à une présentation sur l’industrie australienne de l’hydrogène naturel par Ema Frery, du CSIRO.
